Can you tell us about your journey as an indie musician? What inspired you to pursue a career in music?
My musical journey started in Bloomfield Connecticut, where I developed a love for the bass guitar, the sound resonated through me when I heard a friend playing.Since that time, I never stopped pursuing knowledge of it and of those that have honed their craft. I continued with my music throughout my military career in the USAF. Performing in Talent shows, and ShowcaseBands. Later doing studio work in Los Angeles CA and abroad. I am continually inspired by the evolution of bass players and the new styles being presented. We have come a long way, with endless potential.I am just excited to see where we are going.
Could you share some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced as an indie musician and how you overcame them?
The biggest challenge for me as an Indie artist is balancing work and passion. Work is required to pay for passion, and Passion requires clarity in mind and spirit to be true.
So, it takes a strong determination and discipline to dust off the work and jump into Passion mode and do it well. My conclusion is, Keep on Keeping on.(look out for that song title: )
What is your creative process like? How do you approach songwriting and composing music?
I really allow music to approach me, It is kind of strange how music can come in your head from seemingly nowhere.I start with a bassline and build everything around that. And with the great pool of talent from the Sound of LA the musical conversations begin.
Are there any particular themes or messages that you aim to convey through your music? What inspires your lyrics?
I always try to put out positive vibes, whether it is bringing awareness to the planet as shown on the Gravity album to inspiring the human spirit to never give up
As heard on the single Glide. I want to be an inspiration to the coming generation to know that all things are possible, but interest is the key that drives you to be disciple enough to achieve the goal. Enjoy the journey!
What are your long-term goals as an indie musician? Where do you see yourself and your music in the next few years?
Once the projects we are currently working on are completed we will be planning performance dates to showcase the funk.We will keep you posted on all activities to come stay tuned!
