Chella – My Darling (EP): Rising Nigerian talent Chella is back with “My Darling (EP),” a captivating project that builds on the momentum of his breakout single. The extended play brings together a global cast of collaborators, offering a bold and heartfelt take on love and connection through the lens of Afrobeats, Amapiano, and global pop.
The five-track EP features standout contributions from Tanzanian megastar Diamond Platnumz, South Africa’s soulful vocalist Zee Nxumalo, Moroccan-born producer Tawsen, and UK rapper Not3s. Each artist adds their own flavor to Chella’s romantic vision, making the project feel both intimate and expansive.
Chella doesn’t just deliver catchy hooks—he curates a world of sound that’s rich in emotion and rhythm. From the Swahili-laced “Mpenzi Wangu” to the amapiano bounce of “uDali Wami,” the project explores different cultural expressions of love while maintaining a consistent emotional thread.
The production throughout is sleek and modern, yet rooted in African musical traditions. It’s clear Chella isn’t afraid to experiment, and this EP proves he’s more than just a vocalist—he’s a creative force shaping a new wave of pan-African sound.
Whether you’re looking for something to vibe to late at night or get the party started, My Darling (EP) is a fresh, cross-cultural soundtrack worth playing on repeat.
