Today we’d like to introduce you to Deme D. If you have the desire to achieve something then you will definitely succeed. Deme D is a normal boy. But now he is known by too many people just for his hard work and passion.

It’s an honor to speak with you today. Can you introduce yourself?
I’m from Brooklyn, New York, a long-ii Hip Hop junkie the host of the DagogetaTv YouTube channel providing original Hip Hop content, also providing artist consulting & promotions.

Deme D, when did you start youtube and why did you decide to create a video on this platform?
I launched the DagogetaTv 4 years ago. I just felt my knowledge, passion, and creativity would help me deliver quality content that I know YouTube gives the space to do & audiences are looking for.

What kind of videos do you upload on YouTube and Instagram?
I have 6 different segments

“If You Ask Me” where I have various guests on to debate/talk rap specifically from the late 80s to mid-20s.

“On Deck Wit Deme” Interviews with artists in the music industry.

“Diggin Wit Deme” Hip-Hop Vinyl show for collectors to display 5 records in their collection.

“Listen Up” album listening & promo show.

“Who’s Next Up” Indie Hip Hop Cipha & Interview series.

“What We Roc” Indie Designers series showcasing designers with serious brands.

So when you start to make videos for the first time in the Hip Hop community, what kind of obstacles do you have?
I’d say the same as any other content creator breaking through the thousands of other platforms.

What do you think about the future of the Hip Hop community?
While I feel artistical it’s bright and there are many innovative, consistent, talented artists, however, the light being shined on them is getting dimmer & dimmer.

What do you think about your future in your community?
I’m working to be a voice that’s respected & a personality that you can engage with. Pushing to build all my platforms to highlight great talent in the industry while also showcasing aspiring artists. Having a network for Hip Hop discussions from fans, musicians, DJs, Producers all alike.

What advice do you give to others who want to be like you on YouTube?
Make sure you’re not doing it as a trend, have something you are passionate about and know your audience.

Thank you for this conversation. It was an interesting chat.
