“Pulverise” — a term that means to completely destroy, reduce to fine particles, and defeat utterly. The album’s concept emerged from a simple, yet striking moment Tim experienced while making breakfast. Noticing an old blender’s setting labeled “pulverise,” Tim was struck by its dramatic and final connotation. “It looked and sounded so incredibly dramatic, over-the-top, and final,” Tim reflects. He finds it intriguing how beautiful elements are combined and then annihilated to create something new, a metaphor for how love can be a process of destruction and renewal.
The album, featuring 10 tracks, starts with intense distortion and a powerful ‘bang’ to simulate the blender’s start-up. As it progresses, the sound mellows, becoming smoother and more colorful, much like the contents of a blender. Although it’s a heartbreak album, it reveals the joy and growth that can emerge from the pain of losing someone and finding the right person.
“Pulverise” showcases Tim’s exceptional songwriting, crafted entirely by himself except for one track co-written with Tim Ross. Produced by Seán Behan, mixed by Grammy-nominated Darren Heelis, and mastered by Grammy Award-winning Emerson Mancini, the album is a testament to Tim’s collaborative spirit, including photos by Niamh Barry.
Tim first gained attention with his single “I Need To Know,” which reached #26 on the Irish Singles Chart and received support from major Irish radio stations. With over 10 million streams and collaborations with industry figures like David Davis and Jackson Dimiglio-Wood, Tim’s career is on the rise. His debut album, recorded in Galway, follows a successful Irish tour and sold-out shows, gaining acclaim from Billboard and Graham Norton. Tim’s music is also featured in campaigns for Aer Lingus, Screen Ireland, and Made in Chelsea. As an Irish Music Week 2023 Artist, Tim continues to make waves in the music industry.
