Janice Dickinson has always been known for her unapologetic approach to life. As the world’s first supermodel, she made her mark in the fashion industry with her bold personality, fierce confidence, and trailblazing career. But now, she’s channeling that same energy into music, proving once again that she’s never afraid to reinvent herself.

Her latest single, Get Me Out of This Dress, blends sultry vibes with personal storytelling, giving fans a glimpse into her life—from her wild Studio 54 days to navigating the ups and downs of fame. In our conversation, Janice opened up about how music allows her to be completely authentic, what it’s like overcoming her fears, and the unexpected joys that come with this new chapter in her life.

She shared her thoughts on misconceptions about her, why she’d love to perform at Madison Square Garden, and her excitement for what’s to come in 2025—hinting at a possible rock twist in her music. But it’s not just about music for Janice. She’s thrilled to be watching her grandchildren grow, thriving in her marriage, and still feeling that spark in everything she does.

One thing’s clear: Janice Dickinson isn’t slowing down anytime soon. With her fearless spirit and love for life, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to inspire and surprise us all.

You’ve always been unapologetically yourself. How does that authenticity translate into your music?

You could just hear the lyrics. “I Coined It” came from my background in being a supermodel. “On The Floor” came from me going to Studio 54 every night. “Get Me Out of This Dress” comes from me being horny my entire life.

You’ve been in the public eye for decades. How do you maintain a sense of privacy and balance in your life?

Living here in Los Angeles, I’d rather have private dinner parties than go out to clubs, which I’ve done my entire life.

You’ve overcome many challenges. How does music serve as an outlet for you?

It just allows me to be completely 100% authentically myself. I love people and the fans that have already liked my number one dance song, which went straight to the charts. People like my stuff. It helps me to overcome the last primal fear that I had: singing in front of a live audience. I’ve got so much more confidence these days than earlier in my career, after becoming an author, becoming a photographer, completing supermodel 101, raising children,

having grandchildren, etcetera, that when I go on stage, I feel the energy instead of my own nasty thoughts.

What’s the biggest misconception people have about you?

That I’m rude to models as was directed by Tyra Banks when I was on America’s Next Top Model for five seasons. They paid me to be critically honest, and that’s what I was. It did rub a lot of the models the wrong way, but it’s like… you fall in love with your most critical teacher in high school and college…

What is your favorite moment or lyric in your new song?

You give me, ooh, I’ll give you aah. Yeah. I love that one. That’s so smooth.

If “Get Me Out of This Dress” were a movie, what genre would it be and who would star in it?

I would star in it myself at this very age. I mean, this is a song written for every woman alive with a lot of thought put into it. It’d be a drama.

If you could perform this song anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

Madison Square Garden because I love the Big Apple, and I know that New Yorkers are the hippest people on Earth, and they would really dig the music. I would have a fantastic band with me, and the acoustics are perfect.

What can we expect music-wise from you in 2025?

More songwriting, more singles to be released. This could lead more towards rock. I love rock and roll. I love country. I love pop music. I could go with anything.

What are you listening to right now? Any musical guilty pleasures?

Yeah. Ronnie Wood. Rolling Stones. He has his own lyrics and his own album out. I just revisited it, and it’s fantastic.

What’s one thing you’re really excited about right now, besides the release of your single?

I’m really excited about life. Seeing my friends prosper, seeing my two new grandchildren grow. One kid is two, the other is, like, six months. Being with my husband on a daily basis. You know, it takes a lot of work to make it in a marriage, and I seem to have just done so well with him. It’s been almost thirteen years, and I just get excited every time I drive in the driveway.
