Country music singer/songwriter Zach Cornell recently released his new single “Stay Awhile.” You can listen to it HERE!
With playful lyrics like I know that you’re lonesome and you know that I am too, so what do you say you make some room for me and you, “Stay Awhile” is sure to be a hit amongst listeners.
“I’m so excited for folks to hear what I’ve been working on,” Zach explains. “Stay Awhile hits real close to home for me and reminds me of some of the best times I’ve ever had. I hope it hits that same feeling for everyone that hears it. I think this is the first release that I am truly proud of and I’d throw it in the ring with just about anything. This song alone offers just a small glimpse into how far I’ve come as an artist through my first few years in Nashville, and I believe this is just the beginning. I sure hope y’all stick along for the ride, because it’s going to be fun.”
About Zach Cornell:
Zach Cornell comes from a little speed trap town in the Texas Panhandle, and he’s been using that down-home upbringing to write his own brand of country music ever since. After moving off for college in 2014, what started as something to kill time grew into a passion that he couldn’t let go. Zach played local shows around North Texas while halfway going through school and tending bar in local restaurants.
In 2018, Zach set off for Nashville, Tennessee to work full-time as a musician and songwriter. “Nashville just seemed like the next logical step. I grew up in a Texas town of just under 2,000 people, and it definitely played a big role in the songs I listened to and the stories I eventually began to tell through my own songs. But, I knew at some point I’d have to head to Music City and see if I could hang in there with the pros.”
When Cornell isn’t on the road, he can be found in Nashville playing local venues across the city and co-writing with other local artists. His first full-length studio album, titled Devil’s Been Working, hit the airwaves in November 2020. In late 2021, Zach took some brand new songs to Jack Gavin and Kevin Willis at Rising Sun Studios in Old Hickory, TN. His newest single “Stay Awhile” was released on March 4, 2022.
