Rising Nigerian-British artist Supaakos has officially released his new album Sweet like Chocolate, a vibrant fusion of afro pop, trap, and afro swing that already has listeners calling it his most irresistible body of work yet.
Leading the project is the standout single Ngozika, a sun-soaked love story built on Spanish guitar strings, infectious Igbo highlife energy, and a modern afro pop swagger. Recorded in a traditional booth in Kubwa, Abuja, and polished by engineer EmmyZyz, Ngozika channels the timeless romance of West Side Story through a distinctly Nigerian lens, where the name Ngozika, meaning “Blessing is supreme” in Igbo, becomes the heartbeat of the entire record.
Supaakos explains the divine spark behind the album:
“The inspiration behind my release was the inner feeling to share my artistic craft with the world giving an insight of what moves Supaakos in a musical sense. It is very well known that I have a great love and absolute faith in my most high God so it’s safe to say that my lord God is my foremost inspiration. In God I trust.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Suppabeat, Sweet like Chocolate stays true to the seamless, often freestyle-born creative process that has defined the artist’s journey from London school plays to sharing stages with legends like 2face Idibia.

From the streets of London to the studios of Abuja, Supaakos continues to blend Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, and world music into a sound that feels both nostalgic and brand new. Previous singles Zodiac, Adios, Therapist, See My Money, and Insecure, all released under his own Sweet Music imprint, laid the foundation; Sweet like Chocolate is in full bloom.
