REUNIØN are London duo, Eliot James and Jon Green. In between writing and producing records for others such as Two Door Cinema Club, Bloc Party, Kaiser Chiefs, James Bay, Aquilo and Linkin Park, the band was formed. REUNIØN is a platform for them to tell their own tales and find their own, signature sound. Now returning with their first single of 2022, the pair share the beautifully wistful new single ‘Caves’. Featuring delicate vocals and warming piano chords, the track conveys a theme of hope that helps you find light at the end of the tunnel.
“Caves is a song about emerging from something, somewhere. We’ve all been kind of cooped up of late so there’s that desire to head back out in the world, but it’s also about stepping out of any dark place, into the sunlight… from a broken heart, into a new chapter. Anything we all sometimes need a little help and hope getting out of.” – REUNIØN share the meaning behind the track.
The release of ‘Caves’ will be shortly followed by a stunning new music video by acclaimed Japanese illustrator/animator Sonoko Obuchi, following on from her video for earlier release ‘Way Out West’. The manga influenced animated short visualises the themes of the single as we see the psyche of an individual going through a difficult period brought to life.
The new offering follows on from 7 previous singles from the band, which are fast capturing the imagination of new fans and fellow artists alike with heartfelt, personal and hopeful lyrics intertwined with a sonic landscape of guitars, strings, synths and harmonies that combine to paint a beautiful picture.
REUNIØN have already achieved over 1 million streams across digital streaming platforms with their releases thus far and huge press support from acclaimed publications such as Clash Magazine, Hotpress, Atwood Magazine and Notion.
