Suffolk-based alternative-hardcore band FLEAS return with the intense and explosive new single ‘TOUCH’. Taken from the upcoming debut album Imagine If There Was More (28th Feb) the track showcases more of the band’s intense, explosive and visceral blend of punk, rock and metal.
Having built a reputation for the raucous, energetic and resounding live shows, FLEAS have already established themselves as one to watch, sharing lineups with the likes of Dingus Khan, The Meffs, Skating Polly, Gaffa Tape Sandy and Pet Needs.
Produced by Suffolk based Alec Jarman, the upcoming album highlights the intense and evocative, yet varied and emotive heavy rock sound which has seen the band gain high praise across press and radio alike.
Speaking about the new single ‘Touch’, the band explains: “This song was the most difficult for us to write instrumentally on the album, but one of the most fun to create. We wanted to play with repetition and anticipation, as its continuation of another song on the album, and brought to life an experience of powerful emotion, boiling up until an explosion. It’s raw and vibrant and we put a great deal of energy and love into this one.”
Continuing to talk about the album as a whole, the band explain:
“The album ranges in topics, from mental health, to today’s social climate, and experiences with love and protecting those closest to us. It was recorded in a very DIY set up, mostly in bedrooms and rehearsal spaces, captured by the wildly talented Alec Jarman; he was instrumental in bringing our vision to life.”
Since forming in 2018, FLEAS have been building a reputation for their raw, high-energy performances and genre-defying sound. Having gained radio play across BBC Radio 1 and Total Rock, the band have won awards (NMG Awards: Best Rock Act), as well as gaining a flurry of tastemaker coverage across New Noise, Louder Than War, The Punk Site, Punk News, Backseat Mafia, Iggy Magazine and A&R Factory.
