Brighton, rising singer-songwriter Evangeline Eastwood releases the emotive piano ballad ‘I Know’ (February 14th 2025).
Building a reputation for her evocative songwriting and captivating performances, Evangeline’s new single promises to be a heartfelt anthem that explores themes of love, longing, and resilience whilst capturing the purity of her live performances.
Produced with mixing engineer Alex Collins and mastered engineer Alex Barron, ‘I Know’ is a lush, piano-driven ballad showcasing Evangeline’s signature artistry through rich melodies, soaring vocals, and its simple yet effective arrangement. The song’s poignant lyricism adds a relatable and emotional tone.
In Evangeline’s own words:
“’I Know’ captures the ache of a long-distance relationship, highlighting the possibility of never seeing each other again while honoring the reality of a genuine connection. The minimal instrumentation emphasizes intimacy and raw emotion, while the lyrics explore the duality of love and heartbreak. Set for release on Valentine’s Day 2025, the song celebrates individuality while reflecting on the hopes and possibilities of a relationship that never fully materialized.
The lyrics draw on the phrase ‘when you know, you know’, expressing the belief that intuition often speaks louder than logic in matters of the heart. This sentiment forms the foundation of the song, blending vulnerability with universal relatability.
The choice to record the track as an acoustic single was deliberate, focusing on the intimacy and emotions it conveys. This stripped-down approach heightens the rawness and authenticity of the piece.”
2024 saw Evangeline Eastwood complete a successful acoustic tour across the UK, organized through her independent company, Eastwood Events. As an independent artist with a compelling DIY ethos, Evangeline is a talented singer, songwriter, and pianist with a keen eye for melody and a drive and determination to make a success of her music. Often compared to Janis Joplin, Adele, and Joss Stone, Evangeline’s vocals reflect a combination of soulful melodies and rocky screams. Accompanied by her backing musicians, Evangeline’s music explores the duality of love and heartbreak, as well as challenges of misogyny and sexism through her lyrics.
