Staying true to his annual tradition, former U.S. President Barack Obama has shared his favorite music picks for 2024, offering a glimpse into the tracks that have been on heavy rotation for him this year. Known for his eclectic taste, Obama’s playlist once again spans a wide range of genres and highlights talent from across the globe.
In his Instagram post, Obama wrote:
“Here are my favorite songs from this year! Check them out if you’re looking to shake up your playlist.”
This year’s selections feature standout contributions from artists like Rema, Asake, Tyla, and Shaboozey. Rema’s “Yayo,” from his acclaimed HEIS album, takes a spot on the list, as does Asake’s “Active” featuring Travis Scott from the album Lungu Boy. Tyla’s “Jump,” a track from her self-titled debut album featuring Gunna and Skillibeng, also makes an appearance. Rounding out the list is Shaboozey’s barroom anthem, “A Bar Song (Tipsy).”
