Sloane Angell – Halston Takes a Trip – Fast rising American singer and DJ Sloane Angell has released his much anticipated brand-new psychedelic disco single ‘Halston Takes a Trip’.The Los Angeles based DJ, Artist and Music Director has been internationally known for his legendary sets at Soho House in Malibu. He’s been sought out and coveted for the best parties in LA since he first landed on the West Coast from his native New York. Sloane is the go to DJ for every SOHO house location every weekend. He developed a keen taste for ambient celebratory atmospheric tracks.
This lead him to creating Sound Funding LLC, his music management business. Walking into most hotels you may not realize you are listening to a highly curated Sloane Angell set. This is his first official song, and in my humble opinion, it’s officially awesome. A long, psyche-ish groove with hypnotic synth stabs and punchy enough drums to get you to the dance-floor, and keep you there, and it’s fun. I can see this being played from the playa to the techno club. Spending most of his days as a ceramicist, either making shapes on the pottery wheel, or loading a kiln, heated to a temperature that could ‘evaporate a body’ he once told me proudly.
He also dabbles in fashion, with his clothing line Mercer Market selling at cool boutiques across the USA. In the summertime, he jets off to Montauk and hold’s down a summer residency at the Surf Lodge, in Los Angeles, you can find him playing many a party, whether it be at Malibu Soho House, or fancy houses in the hills.
