The song is a beautiful anthem where Johnny pleads with his lover to trust and have faith in him, especially for the sake of his family. Produced by Mavin Records head honcho, Don Jazzy, “Believe Me” is an excellent Afro-Pop record with a captivating storytelling theme.
Following the success of his previous hit, “How Are You (My Friend),” Johnny Drille has maintained his momentum with another fantastic summer jam. Don Jazzy also lent his vocal talents to the song, providing backup on the chorus to make it even more special.
“Believe Me” marks Johnny Drille’s return after his last project, “Home,” a six-track EP that featured collaborations with Adekunle Gold, Phyno, and The Cavemen.
