Known for her candid storytelling and rich vocal tone, trailblazing country artist Lily Rose continues to push boundaries with her most recent release “Seein’ Blue,” out now. Co-written by Rose with Joybeth Taylor, Michael Whitworth and Will Weatherly with production by Paul DiGiovanni, “Seein’ Blue” flips heartbreak on its head as a slow-burning gut punch that trades red-hot revenge with ice-cold clarity.
“Whenever I walk into a writing session, my goal is to come out with a song that hits three criteria: I can’t wait to play it live, I’m obsessed with the lyrics and I can’t stop listening to the demo,” shares Rose. “To say that ‘Seein’ Blue’ checked those boxes is an understatement. From Will Weatherly’s demo, to Paul’s full production, this is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever been a part of!”
With vivid imagery – blue neon lights, faded blue jeans, and a blue moon – Rose captures the quiet intensity that chills rather than burns. Much like her breakout hit “Villain,” she resists the urge to cast blame, instead delivering a steady, self-aware take on heartbreak that lets honesty and clarity carry the emotional weight.
Earlier this year, Rose released “Let You Know When I Get There,” praised by Country Swag as “one of Rose’s most impressive releases to date.” She followed that up with the “I Know What I Want,” which Country Now credited showcased her “signature country twang seeping through her vocals.” She continues to bring her “distinct, dusky, conversational vocal style” (Billboard) to audiences nationwide on her Runnin’ Outta Time Tour as it continues on its 14-stop trek across the country with special guest Payton Smith.
Named an artist to watch by CMT, MusicRow and Amazon, the Outstanding Breakthrough Music Artist by GLAAD and an ACM nominee continues to carve a path uniquely her own. For dates and more information, visit lilyrosemusic.net and keep up with her on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
