Kevin Quigley marks a milestone with the release of his debut EP Catch You Down the Road, out September 26th. Self-produced and intimate, the collection carries the weight of lived experience, quiet moments, turning points, and the stories that don’t always make it out of your mind.
Rooted in indie folk, country and americana, these songs offer a real presence. With lyrical storytelling at its core, the EP explores love, time, change and the spaces in between, the sound of an artist slowing down to share something real.
The focus track and title song, Catch You Down the Road, sits at the centre of the project. With its unhurried arrangement, it’s less about polish and more about truth. “These songs are about the human heart, about finding meaning in the in-between,” Quigley says.
Quigley’s growth as both songwriter and producer is the defining feature here, following the reflective single Clock Ticks On released in August. His songwriting has seen him share stages with Mary Black, Hermitage Green and The Pale, alongside sell-out shows in storied Irish venues such as Whelan’s, Cork Opera House and Connolly’s of Leap.
Catch You Down the Road is a personal track, but also an open road for anyone who’s ever felt caught between where they’ve been and where they’re going.
