The 4x GRAMMY-nominated Bronx rapper is back and more confident than ever with her latest release, “Baddie Baddie.” Produced by her longtime collaborator RiotUSA, the creative force behind her gold-certified breakout hit “Munch (Feelin U),” the track breathes new life into M.I.A.’s iconic anthem “Bad Girls.” The result is a fierce and infectious record that reminds everyone why Ice Spice remains one of the most talked-about artists in hip-hop today.
It’s been a standout year for Ice. She recently graced the cover of NYLON magazine’s September issue and surprised fans by teaming up with Grammy-nominated Atlanta rapper Latto for the single “Gyatt,” released through RCA Records. The song’s official video, directed by Hidji World, quickly took off and racked up more than seven million views within just two weeks.
Outside of music, Ice Spice continues to expand her creative reach. Earlier this year, she made her film debut in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, starring alongside Denzel Washington and A$AP Rocky. She’s also set to return to the big screen this December in The SpongeBob Movie: Search for Squarepants, where she’ll be featured on the soundtrack with a new original song.
“Baddie Baddie” marks a new chapter for Ice, serving as her first solo release since her Y2K!: I’m Just A Girl (Deluxe) album dropped last December. That project included standout tracks like “Hannah Montana” featuring NLE Choppa and DaBaby, as well as collaborations with BB Trickz and Anuel AA.
Her official debut album Y2K!, released in July 2024, received wide acclaim for its originality and sharp lyricism. The record featured hits like the Sean Paul-inspired “Gimmie A Light” and the unapologetic “Think U The Shit (Fart),” which became her highest-charting solo single on the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 37. Pitchfork praised the album for showcasing “some of her most dynamic and abrasive bars to date,” highlighting her ability to craft a sound that stands apart from her peers.
With “Baddie Baddie,” Ice Spice proves once again that she’s in full control of her craft — bold, fearless, and unapologetically herself.
