Gyakie – Something: Gyakie, a Ghanaian singer who has won awards, releases her first music of the year, a song called “Something.” You can listen to it live on all digital streaming services right now.
The song was released around the world by Sony Music Entertainment West Africa/Flip The Music. It was made by P.Priime, a Nigerian hitmaker whose work has been heard by Wizkid, Asa, Fireboy DML, and DJ Cuppy. Gyakie’s face lights up when she hears the Banku sound, and her sweet, fresh voice is perfect for summer.
After finishing from university in Kumasi with a degree in international business, Gyakie moved quickly to form new business partnerships, be on songs, and break into new markets. At the 3Music Awards, the Clout Music Awards, and the VGMA, she won “Woman of the Year,” “Revelation of the Year,” and “Best International Collaboration” (Forever Remix). Besides that, she is up for “Best West African Act” at the 15th annual Headies Music Awards.
The event will happen outside of Nigeria for the first time, in Atlanta in September. Before that, Gyakie will appear at the first Afrobeats festival in Germany on July 9th and 10th in Berlin and Brandenburg.
