Pop sensation Doja Cat has taken a leap into the world of fashion with her debut capsule collection in collaboration with renowned footwear brand Skechers. The partnership has breathed new life into the iconic heritage trainer silhouette, creating a buzz in the fashion industry.
Priced at $125 per pair, these limited-edition sneakers are now available in a variety of colors, ranging from understated neutral tones to vibrant hues like lavender and olive green. Doja Cat expressed her excitement about this creative endeavor, saying, “It feels really cool to be able to create my own shoe. To design something inspired by the iconic sneaker my peers wore back in the day — Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera — I feel like I am a part of history.”
As the inaugural artist-in-residence for Skechers, Doja Cat worked closely with the brand’s design team to craft a distinctive product lineup. She infused the sneakers with her unique touch, incorporating premium leathers, subtle patent leather accents, and mesh elements. Available in a variety of colors, each pair boasts Skechers’ renowned air-cooled memory foam insole and proudly displays the Skechers x Doja Cat logo.

Doja Cat took the reins of the artistic direction for the promotion, adding her distinctive flair. She shared her creative process, saying, “For this campaign, I worked with Skechers to create visuals that were simplistic, art-forward, edgy… And all the while, we explored different elements like fire, burnt textures, and the aftermath of the flames.”
On the musical front, Doja Cat is on a meteoric rise. Her latest album, “Scarlet,” is poised to debut in the top 5 of the Billboard 200 chart. The album’s lead track, “Paint The Town Red,” recently soared to the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100.
Speaking about her new album, Doja Cat revealed, “This new album is more introspective, but I’m not leaning so hard into that to where it becomes boring. So I want to give stories and bops. It’s a nice mixture of both. I think this project is a really fun canvas for me to play with my rap skills and talk about what’s going on in my life. But I’m not abandoning who I was and what I know about pop and singing, and that aspect of music.”
