Australian-born, New York City-based artist Corban Chapple moves from behind the scenes to center stage with his debut EP Maybe We’ll Make It. Fully self-written, produced, and performed, the project brings together elements of alternative R&B, soul, hip hop, pop, and jazz, showing the range he has developed after years of working as a producer.
Before stepping out as a solo artist, Chapple built a strong foundation, producing for others, earning recognition, including awards from the West Australian Music Song of the Year. He officially introduced himself as an artist in 2023 with the single “Ordinary World,” and the following year relocated to New York City to study songwriting and production at Berklee NYC. That move placed him in a new creative environment that directly shaped the direction of this debut project.
Written during his early months in New York, Maybe We’ll Make It unfolds as a concept-driven record, structured like a story with a beginning, middle, and end. Across five tracks, Chapple explores themes like homesickness, jealousy, intimacy, emotional avoidance, masculinity, and uncertainty. At its core, the EP leans toward acceptance, choosing to move forward with intention even when the outcome is unclear.
The project was introduced through a gradual release, beginning with “Let’s Not Talk About It” in late 2025, followed by “Braid,” and later “Porcelain,” which features collaborator August Igor Egholm. Together, these releases helped build momentum and establish Chapple as a fresh voice within contemporary R&B.

Musically, his work draws from a wide range of influences, blending live instrumentation with modern production. Rich harmonies, layered arrangements, and honest lyricism come together to create a sound that feels both rooted and current.
Music publicist Danielle Holian of Decent Music PR highlights Chapple’s ability to write with emotional clarity, noting how he approaches themes like doubt, intimacy, and insecurity in a way that feels genuine rather than forced.
Track Highlights
Greener reflects on post-breakup jealousy, using a garden metaphor to explore ego, masculinity, and the quiet difficulty of watching someone move on.
Let’s Not Talk About It captures the tension of avoiding difficult conversations in a relationship that has not been clearly defined.
Braid unfolds as a slow, layered track that uses its central image to explore intimacy in a nuanced and thoughtful way.
Porcelain (feat. Igor) looks at emotional vulnerability and self sabotage from two perspectives, blending rap and melodic elements to explore masculinity and longing.
Maybe We’ll Make It closes the EP with a sense of acceptance, choosing hope and action even in the face of uncertainty.
As his first full project as a solo artist, Maybe We’ll Make It is an ambitious statement. Chapple handled nearly every aspect of the process himself, from writing and production to recording, mixing, and mastering, while also playing multiple instruments across the EP. It is a strong introduction that marks the beginning of a new chapter in his career.
