Central Cee added another major moment to his career by taking home Best Hip Hop Act at the 2026 MOBO Awards. The ceremony, held at Manchester’s Co-op Live Arena, celebrated some of the biggest names in Black music and culture, and once again, Central Cee stood out.
This latest win marks his eighth MOBO Award, placing him among the most decorated artists in the history of the event. It reflects not just his consistency, but also the impact he continues to have on UK rap and beyond.
Since breaking through in 2020 with tracks like Loading and Day in the Life, Central Cee has steadily built a global presence. His ability to blend drill with melodic flows and mainstream appeal has helped him move from the underground scene to international recognition.
A major part of this success comes from his debut album Can’t Rush Greatness, released in January 2025. The project debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart and also made waves internationally, breaking into the top ten of the US Billboard 200. Featuring collaborations with artists like Dave, Skepta, 21 Savage, Lil Durk, Lil Baby, and Young Miko, the album delivered huge streaming numbers and further cemented his place at the top of the scene.
Central Cee’s continued momentum, from chart success to sold-out shows and global collaborations, has kept him firmly in the spotlight. Winning Best Hip Hop Act against strong competition, including Aitch, D-Block Europe, and Little Simz, highlights just how dominant he has become.
At just 27, Central Cee shows no signs of slowing down, with this latest award serving as another clear sign of his influence and staying power in the industry
