Talented Ghanaian musician and performer Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kweku Frimpong, who is known professionally as Black Sherif, revealed in a recent interview how he met Grammy award-winning Burna Boy for their collaboration on the remix of ‘Second Sermon.’
The singer revealed that popular Nigerian dancer Poco Lee might have been the one that played his song to Burna Boy who then reached out to him via his management to discuss working on a collaboration.
Black Sherif said:
I don’t know who played the song for Burna but I think Poco played my song for Burna. Burna loved the sound.
Someone from Burna’s team then reached out to me.
We talked for like 20 minutes.
“I think Poco Lee was the person who first played my song to Burna Boy”
