This mesmerizing track effortlessly combines elements of R&B and pop sounds to transport listeners into a realm of alluring soundscapes showcasing her versatility as a songstress.
The song ‘Boy Bye’ is about infidelity in a relationship and is written from the perspective of the one being cheated on. But this song not only draws attention to the melancholy or other unpleasant feelings that accompany it but rather, it’s an inspiring song about daring to walk away from a circumstance like this and realising your own value.
‘Boy Bye’ brilliantly displays BIRTHE’s irresistible voice, showcasing her amazing and distinctive tone. After the singer was cheated on and recovered from the breakup, she wrote the R&B and pop song. The melody and chorus immediately came to her, and the words followed along with ease. Along with BIRTHE’s captivating vocals that will grab the listener’s attention from the first note, the upbeat track features a production that includes drums, bass, guitar, keys, trumpet, saxophone, alto, and cello. She incorporates wind and string instruments into her music, as well as into her live shows.
On the track, BIRTHE comments, “’Boy Bye’ is an empowering song about cheating in a relationship, written from the point of view of the person being cheated on.”
