Ari Lennox opens a bold new chapter with the release of Vacancy, her third studio album since 2022. The GRAMMY nominated R and B singer delivers a project grounded in independence, emotional clarity, and personal growth, making this one of the most focused and self assured statements of her career so far.
Created over three years and recorded across Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami, Vacancy is the product of time, intention, and trust in the process. Rather than rushing creativity, Ari allowed the album to unfold naturally, embracing reflection and self awareness along the way. Final sessions wrapped in summer 2025 with executive producer Elite, bringing a clear sense of direction and cohesion to the record. Ari also co wrote every song, reinforcing her role not just as a powerful vocalist but as a deeply expressive songwriter.
The album opens with “Mobbin In DC,” a soulful nod to her roots that immediately grounds the project emotionally. Early releases “Under the Moon” and the title track reunite Ari with Jermaine Dupri and Bryan Michael Cox, the GRAMMY winning duo behind her platinum hit “Pressure,” adding a timeless R and B touch to the album’s foundation.
Elsewhere, Vacancy moves effortlessly between playful and intimate. “High Key,” produced by J White Did It, captures Ari’s flirtatious energy, while “Twin Flame,” produced by Tommy Brown and Leather Jacket, leans into vulnerability and emotional connection. The track has already resonated strongly, bolstered by a recent performance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

Additional highlights include “Soft Girl Era,” “24 Seconds,” “Horoscope,” and closing track “Hocus Pocus.” The album features a single guest appearance from Buju Banton on “Company,” blending R and B with dancehall influences in a way that feels both classic and current. Beyond the studio, Ari continues to shine on stage, with recent standout appearances at Robert Glasper’s Blue Note residency and the EBONY Power 100 Gala, underscoring an artist fully in control of her voice and vision.
