Afro-fusion artist AQT has launched 2026 in explosive fashion with the release of his highly anticipated single ON FIRE II, featuring genre-pioneering artist Terry Apala.
Building on the remarkable success of his debut album OLÁNREWÀJÚ, released in September 2025 and now boasting over four million streams and views, AQT returns with a confident and refined evolution of his sound. ON FIRE II captures an undeniable creative synergy between the two artists, blending their distinctive styles into a track that feels both innovative and culturally grounded.
The record fuses rich Afrobeats rhythms with Terry Apala’s signature Apala-fusion, melodic rap, and contemporary hip-hop and R&B textures, all elevated by traditional Yoruba elements. This dynamic collaboration allows both artists to shine while creating something greater than the sum of its parts. Sonically and lyrically, ON FIRE II radiates themes of ambition, confidence, and arrival, reflecting AQT’s Nigerian-American journey and his rising presence on the global stage.
As a standout extension of the OLÁNREWÀJÚ project, the single deepens its narrative and broadens its sonic reach. It reinforces AQT’s ability to craft music that resonates across borders while remaining deeply rooted in African culture and heritage.

AQT is a Nigerian-American Afro-fusion powerhouse redefining global African music. A recording artist, producer, entrepreneur, and cultural architect, he bridges continents through sound, fashion, and immersive experiences. A former member of GALAKTiQ, he launched his solo career in 2024 with OLÁNREWÀJÚ — a deeply personal project exploring identity, growth, and spiritual awakening. Recorded across Nigeria, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, the album blends traditional African rhythms with Afrobeats, Hip-Hop, and Arabic melodies to create a truly borderless sound.
The project has earned co-signs from Wizkid, Wande Coal, and DJ Tunez, and features collaborations with Olamide, LAX, and Ichaba. AQT has expanded the album into a global cultural moment with immersive fan experiences in London, Houston, and Lagos. In 2025, he attended the Grammy Awards as a guest, appeared at Paris Fashion Week and New York Fashion Week, and headlined a major concert at the University of Lagos.
Beyond music, AQT is the founder of Amanar Group, a culture-led strategy and project management company. Under his leadership, Amanar produced Afrobeats Festival Berlin 2023, featuring Asake, Peter Okoye (P-Square), Oxlade, and Victony. Through Camp Lagos, the company brings together artists and executives to explore sustainable global growth for African music. Amanar has also facilitated American rapper and YouTuber DDG’s first trip to Nigeria.
