Rising Amapiano vocalist and songwriter Kr4zygee releases his debut single, Makhelwane, on 28 August 2026 via vniMusic Records. The track, featuring Sihlewama2k, serves as the lead single from his forthcoming debut album, Umoyo Wase Vutha, and introduces a sound built on township authenticity and international ambition.
Raised in Daveyton, Benoni, Kr4zygee’s artistry was shaped early by the melodic storytelling of Blaq Diamond, whose influence remains woven through the soulful resonance of his craft. As his sound matured, he drew further inspiration from the rhythmic innovation of Kabza De Small and Nasty C, artists who, despite occupying different sonic worlds, pushed him to forge a hybrid style entirely his own: the deep, percussive logs and drums of Amapiano fused with the sharp lyrical precision of Hip-Hop.
At the heart of that sound is a mission far bigger than the music itself. Kr4zygee is driven by a desire to show his community that success is not defined by where you come from, but by the courage to pursue it. His work channels the dynamics and reality of township life, aiming to bring hope and vibrant, authentic energy to audiences across South Africa and beyond its borders.
The creation of Makhelwane, and the wider album it introduces, was a collaborative effort. Producer and songwriter Beekay_dj played a pivotal role throughout the process, helping Kr4zygee work through creative hurdles and shape the record’s distinctive sound. The result is a single that captures both the celebratory pulse of the dance floor and the depth of the story behind it.
