Suffolk Alt-Pop up and comer Loome returns with the new single ‘The Shakedown’, taken from the anticipated upcoming sophomore album YOUFORIA (due May 22nd).

Following the release of the debut album ASTROHEARTS in 2025, Loome was propelled to press acclaim, named among BBC Introducing’s ‘Sound Of 2023’ list, gained his debut national radio plays on BBC Radio 1 (Future Pop) and appeared live at Latitude Festival as well as packing out multiple headline shows through the year.

Building a reputation for his indie-meets-alternative-pop sound, Loome has firmly established himself as one to watch, continuing this sonic direction on ‘The Shakedown’. Produced alongside Jason La Rocca (an engineer renowned on his work from Venom and The Flash to the likes of blockbuster games including Cyberpunk 2077 and God Of War), the track offers some of Loomes most complete and radio ready work to date. Propelled by a distortion-tinged beat, the track steadily builds through pulsing synths and emotive, understated yet effortlessly charismatic lead vocals. Gradually rising melodies give way to an infectious chorus as fuzzy guitars cut through, injecting the song with a fizzing indie undercurrent.

Talking about the track, Tomas explains:
