Alt-Rock newcomers 3 Days of Wonder release the new single ‘Maniacs’. The teenage Devon quartet has quickly built a reputation for both their anthemic, edgy 80s-influenced writing style and high-energy live shows, already winning a number of awards (Best New Artist 2025 by the Devon Music Awards, Best Artist 2024 by Powderham Live!, and Best Newcomer 2023 by Smart Radio 101).
Combining influences from Foo Fighters to The Police to Big Country and U2, the band are often described as having a maturity beyond their years, with lyricism that brings biting social commentary with catchy, intricate hooks and musicality which is hard to ignore. The new single ‘Maniacs’ is no exception, bringing a palpable sense of energy, thick distorted guitar sounds and anthemic, polished production. Commanding vocals are complemented by strong melodies and distinct riffs which the band translate into a strikingly complete and infectious sound.
Speaking about the track, the band explain: “Maniacs explores the idea of a volatile, all consuming love in which an individual is trapped in a world of chaos and desperation that at the same time is vital for survival.”
Having shared festival mainstages with the likes of Razorlight, Feeder, Supergrass, Happy Mondays, The Farm and Nathan Dawe, the band have played shows across the UK, building a feverish following. With growing support from BBC Introducing, the band are more than ready to take things to the next level.
