Ula – In My Eyes: Polish-born, UK-based artist Ula returns with her second solo single “In My Eyes” and it is another striking chapter in her warped pop journey. After making waves with her debut “So Kind” which Record of the Day praised as “a confident and creatively assured debut from an artist with a clear vision,” Ula now strips things back for something more raw and personal.
Written and recorded in a Viennese basement alongside longtime collaborator Tim Burghaus, “In My Eyes” came together in just under two hours. Yet the track carries an emotional weight and sonic polish that feels timeless. Lush synth cascades, delicate vocal layers, and dreamy cinematic textures form the backdrop for Ula’s vulnerable performance, creating a listening experience that is both comforting and haunting.
At its core, the single explores the beauty of discomfort by embracing moments of vulnerability and finding strength in fragility. Ula’s honest delivery cuts through the production and leaves listeners with a lasting impression of intimacy and quiet power.
Her artistry is no accident. A graduate of the prestigious BRIT School, Ula has worn many hats as frontwoman of prog-pop group Tenacity and as a skilled studio engineer and producer. Drawing inspiration from St. Vincent, Allie X, and Aurora, she continues to shape her own brand of avant-garde pop by blending melodic depth with eerie undertones.

“In My Eyes” proves that Ula is not just an artist to watch but is building toward something special with her upcoming debut EP.
Verdict: Ula’s “In My Eyes” is a haunting yet hopeful piece of warped pop that is lush, intimate, and unflinchingly vulnerable.
