Multi-talented artist Stargazer Mark (Mark C. Westberg, SAG/AFTRA)—a film and stage actor, musician, visual artist, and community organizer—announces the release of their evocative new single, ‘An Autumn Tune’. The track, blending elements of rock, jazz, indie, and dark alternative, captures the essence of personal transformation and the fleeting beauty of life’s seasonal transitions.

Written in 2024 and recorded in early November at LKN Studios in Santa Fe, New Mexico, ‘An Autumn Tune’ offers listeners an intimate, “live/out of the garage” sound experience. Stargazer Mark collaborated with an exceptional team of musicians, including Kenny Brito on percussion, Cheyenne Black on backing vocals, and Ruben Anselmo Marquez on bass guitar and sound engineering. Their organic and creative chemistry shaped the track into a vibrant, textured piece that speaks to personal escape and belonging.

“The fall season has always felt like home to me,” Mark reflects. “It’s a time of mystery, belonging, and transformation. This song draws from my experiences in Santa Fe and the sense of peace and authenticity I feel in this place during autumn. For me, it’s about finding personal magic—even during challenging times—and cherishing those fleeting moments when you feel most alive and true to yourself.”

Mark’s artistic versatility extends far beyond music. A graduate of the Santa Fe University of Art & Design (cum laude, Theatre, 2014), they also completed a theatre intensive at London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Currently, Mark serves on the boards of LiveArts Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Human Rights Alliance, helping to champion local arts. As an openly queer and mentally divergent artist (bisexual, nonbinary, and on the autism spectrum), Mark brings unique perspectives to their work, blending authenticity and empathy into every creative endeavour.

Reflecting on the release, Stargazer Mark shares, “Halloween, or as some may refer to as the “spooky time/season”, has always (for me) served as a greater and much more in-depth metaphor for feeling comfortable with being one’s self, truly taking ownership of your individuality, existing authentically, hearing the misunderstood, welcoming the uninvited, and imagining. There can always be a little “Halloween” year-round to happily haunt and keep a person company, especially when they may need it the most”.
