Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Simboroba is set to release his new single, Where the Money Dey, on 27th July 2026. An Afrobeat anthem built on ambition, hustle and the relentless pursuit of success, the track arrives with the kind of energy that has become a hallmark of his sound, paired with a message that speaks directly to dreamers everywhere.
The single grew out of everyday conversations around hustle, ambition and the realities of chasing success in today’s world. Reflecting on the inspiration behind the record, Simboroba explains: “Growing up, I constantly heard people asking where opportunities and wealth could be found, and that question became the foundation of this record. The song reflects the determination of young people who work hard, dream big, and refuse to give up despite challenges.”
The writing process came together with ease. The idea started from a simple phrase that kept repeating in his mind: “Where the money dey?” Once he found the rhythm and melody, the lyrics flowed organically. Rather than overthinking the song, he wanted it to capture a genuine feeling and connect with people in a relatable way.
