Colombian superstar Shakira has officially released ‘Dai Dai’, the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring Grammy award winning Nigerian Afrobeats artist Burna Boy.
The track, released on Friday via Sony Music Latin, was announced by Shakira across her social media platforms, where she shared her excitement with fans, writing: “Dai Dai is here. The @FIFAWorldCup 2026 starts now!”
In an official statement posted on FIFA’s X account, the organisation confirmed that the song is now available across all major streaming platforms worldwide. It will also serve as the official musical backing for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, tying the release to a wider global initiative beyond the tournament itself.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to kick off on 11 June 2026, with the opening match taking place at the iconic Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, where hosts Mexico will face South Africa. The tournament will run until 19 July 2026 and will be the first World Cup to feature 48 teams, jointly hosted across Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
With ‘Dai Dai’, Shakira once again steps into a global football spotlight, this time joined by Burna Boy, bringing together Latin and Afrobeats energy for what is expected to be one of the defining soundtracks of the tournament.
