Pilar Victoria shares the festive cover of ‘Santa Baby’, delivered in her stylistic, atmospheric pop style.
Following a wave of support from the likes of BBC Radio 6 Music, C-Heads, Notion, DMY, 1883, Ones To Watch, Atwood and Earmilk across 2024 releases, the Argentine-American solo artist is currently in the studio with Grammy winner Happy Perez, writing her next single releases due through 2025.
Pilar’s career to date has seen a number of milestones since her meteoric rise since her breakout single, ‘Wilted Flowers’ released when she was 13. Having gone viral, amassing over 2 million streams and starting a flurry of major label interest, Pilar signed a 6 song EP with Platoon for the other songs she wrote at 14 years old and released her first EP on her 15th birthday.
Following ‘Bloomed In Snow’ which gained widespread press acclaim, radio play across the UK and Europe (including multiple plays on BBC Radio 6 Music) and amassed an impressive 275k streams on Spotify since its release in October, the the cover of ‘Santa Baby’ showcases a lighter side to Pilar’s music. Swapping the melancholic emotional depth of her own material for a fun and free track, the track is festive and light whilst keeping the warming atmospheric musicality she is renowned for.
Speaking about the release, Pilar explains: “I aimed to give a classic christmas song a more dreamy and chill feel.”
