Paramount+ to Premiere Feature-Length Documentary UNCHARTED: Paramount+ has announced that the feature-length documentary UNCHARTED will premiere exclusively on the streaming service in the U.S. on Tuesday, October 22, and in Canada on the same day. For audiences in the U.K., Germany, Switzerland, and Austria, the film will be available on Wednesday, October 23. Additionally, UNCHARTED will debut on Paramount+ Japan on Friday, November 15.
Produced by Abby Greensfelder’s Everywoman Studios for MTV Entertainment Studios and directed by Emmy® and Peabody Award winner Beth Aala, the documentary made its world premiere at the 2023 Tribeca Film Festival. UNCHARTED offers an intimate look behind the scenes of Alicia Keys’ She Is The Music songwriting camp, shining a light on the challenges faced by young black and brown women in the music industry.
The film spotlights the camp’s participants as they strive to create the next big hit song. Among those featured are Ayoni from Barbados, who aspires to follow in the footsteps of Rihanna; Atlanta’s DaVionne, who gained recognition through collaborations and is now working on her original recordings; and Chicago-born Jean Deaux, a multi-talented artist who writes, records, and produces while touring with successful acts.
