After more than 25 years, The Mike Corrado Band is back, with two new singles “I’m Alive“ and “I Got You,“ that mark a powerful return to the studio and the stage. The Mike Corrado Band originally formed in 1996 at Camp Lejeune, when a group of active-duty Marines bonded over music between deployments.
They quickly rose to prominence, playing 200+ shows annually and opening for major acts like John Mayer, Susan Tedeschi, and Edwin McCain. Their momentum paused in 2001 when frontman Mike Corrado was called to active duty after 9/11. Now retired from the Marine Corps, Corrado has reunited the band for their first recordings in over two decades, bringing their full-circle story to life with renewed heart and purpose. The Mike Corrado Band encompasses a cross-genre blend of musical influences from rock, blues, country, and Americana. They have also shared the stage with other powerhouse artists Toby Keith and Bon Jovi.
“I Got You” (featuring powerhouse guest vocalist Myra Washington) is an uplifting blend of blues, soul, and heartland rock. It’s a message to your tribe — and to yourself — that even in the darkest moments, there’s always someone who’s been through it and made it out. All you have to do is reach
“I’m Alive” is an emotional lifeline disguised as a country-rock anthem — a message of hope and resilience for those struggling in silence. With soaring vocals, driving guitar work, and a chorus built like a hand reaching out, the song is a heartfelt plea to anyone carrying the weight of the world: you are not alone. This is the first set of single releases which will be continuing through the summer into the fall. The Mike Corrado Band will perform alongside chart-topping North Carolina natives Parmalee and alternative-rock sensations Switchfoot at Camp Lejeune on July 4th, 2025.
