Major Zulu – Music Sounds Better With You: Major Zulu, the soulful artist with a global journey, releases her latest single, Music Sounds Better With You, on Wednesday, April 3rd, a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to the simple joys of life. This track is part of her highly anticipated EP, I Am Major Zulu, set for release on May 2nd. Following the success of her previous singles Honey Honey and DownUnder, Music Sounds Better With You continues the journey of blending nostalgia, love, and a sense of belonging that Major Zulu’s music beautifully portrays.
The song is a heartfelt homage to the power of music as a sanctuary in busy lives. “My partner and I lead busy lives, and sometimes it feels like we’re just ships passing in the night,” Major Zulu shares. “But there’s a constant refuge, our regular meeting point, the record player in our little home basement. It’s our chill space where we unwind and play songs for each other, allowing us to decompress and reconnect through the music we love.”
The upcoming EP, I Am Major Zulu, is a celebration of Major Zulu’s personal and artistic evolution. Having lived across the globe—from Zambia to the UK, Paris, and Australia—the EP is a culmination of her journey, encapsulating a moment of peace, love, and belonging. Each track reflects a piece of her nomadic life, from the joy of seaside road trips in Byron Bound, to the healing process of Narcotic, and the introspection of Fill My Cup.
To celebrate the release of the full EP, Major Zulu and her band will perform at Eora’s Caterpillar Club on Saturday, May 3rd, for what promises to be a memorable night.
