Lenox Hills – Staring At The Sun: Tennessee-based rock quartet Lenox Hills is gearing up to release their eagerly anticipated third EP, Staring At The Sun, on August 2, 2024, via The Orchard. This EP represents a significant leap in both sound and emotional resonance for the band, marking a pivotal moment in their creative evolution and signaling exciting prospects for their future.
Founded by brothers Luke (vocals) and Packy Mullin (guitar), along with Kyle Swenson (drums) and Kameron Dunn (bass), Lenox Hills has forged a distinctive place in the music scene with their dynamic and heartfelt rock sound. Their music, deeply inspired by their shared childhood in Tennessee, captures both grand and personal connections, striking a chord with listeners on multiple levels.
The title track, “Staring At The Sun,” has quickly become a fan favorite. The band describes it as a “slow burn” that begins with a mellow tone before crescendoing into a powerful climax. With its relatable lyrics and memorable hooks, the track is poised to be a standout for both new and long-time fans. “We couldn’t be prouder of this song and what it represents for the future of our band,” shares Luke Mullin. “It’s vibey and easy to listen to, yet emotionally vulnerable. We feel like we’ve achieved exactly what we aimed for and expressed what we wanted to say.”

Recorded at their home studio in Nashville with producer Logan Matheny, the track evolved from a simple rehearsal idea into a fully realized song in just about five minutes, highlighting the band’s spontaneous and intuitive creative process. Lenox Hills has the potential to support or even headline for bands like Kings of Leon, Inhaler, and Dayglow, all while maintaining their own distinct style. Their blend of pop and indie rock is marked by exceptional production and melodies that linger long after the music stops.
