Latto Surprises Fans with Cardi B Collaboration on New Song: Rising artist Latto has recently made a thrilling announcement to her fans. In an exciting video clip, the Clayton County representative unveiled that a remix of her latest single, “Put It On Da Floor,” is set to drop this Friday (June 2). Playfully using a popular line from the track produced by Go Grizzly, Squat Beats, and Ben Hogarth, she humorously tore open a plastic bag to reveal her new collaborator on the song, none other than Cardi B. Given this exciting news, it’s safe to assume that a music video will soon follow the release of the remix.
“Put It On Da Floor,” released in April, showcases Latto’s fierce lyrical skills as she addresses her detractors and boasts about her luxurious lifestyle. On the track, she confidently raps, “I done done it all, feel like Shawty Lo, laughin’ to the bank, but st is not a joke, say she got a problem? Imaginary smoke, bches said it’s up, then put it on the floor.”
In 2022, Latto impressed fans with her sophomore studio album, “777,” which featured 13 tracks and notable appearances from artists like 21 Savage, Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino, Lil Durk, Nardo Wick, and Kodak Black. The album reached new heights, peaking at No. 15 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 8 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
Since then, the XXL Freshman alum has kept her momentum going with standalone releases like “P**SY,” “FTCU” with GloRilla and Gangsta Boo, “Another Nasty Song,” and “Lottery” featuring LU KALA.
