KATSEYE – Gnarly: After setting the tone with their chart-topping debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong), KATSEYE is back and louder than ever. Their latest single, “Gnarly,” out now via HYBE x Geffen Records, marks a fearless leap into a grittier, more rebellious sonic world. Fueled by seismic 808s and rave-inspired synths, the track captures the electric chaos of growing up under the harsh glow of the digital spotlight.
Produced by a powerhouse team—Pink Slip, Tim Randolph, “hitman” Bang, and Slow Rabbit—“Gnarly” embraces the mess and magic of modern life. It’s loud, unapologetic, and full of swagger. “‘Gnarly’ feels true to us—it’s bold, it’s fun, and it shows a different side of what we’re about,” the group shares. The track’s layered meaning plays into the duality of beauty and intensity, much like KATSEYE themselves.
The accompanying music video, directed by Cody Critcheloe, is just as striking. With its fast cuts, high fashion, and neon grit, the visual premiered on MTV Live, MTVU, and even lit up the Paramount billboards in Times Square—proof of KATSEYE’s growing global presence.
Formed through HYBE and Geffen’s Dream Academy project, the six-member collective—Daniela, Lara, Manon, Megan, Sophia, and Yoonchae—continues to blaze their own trail. Since their debut, they’ve earned nods from Rolling Stone, Los Angeles Times, Interview, and V Magazine, along with award buzz and big-brand collaborations.
“Gnarly” isn’t just a new single—it’s a statement. It signals a band unafraid to evolve, push boundaries, and show every messy, magical facet of who they are.
