Heijmat – Don’t Run Away: Following the release of the cinematic new EP Echoes Of Solace, Dutch producer Heijmat returns with the new Bart B More remix of the lead single ‘Don’t Run Away’.
The new remix strikes the perfect balance between melodic hooks and driving rhythms, giving a dancefloor feel whilst retaining the melodic depth of the original mix.
Balancing the track’s emotive tone with catchy melodies and an infectious groove, the track brings the atmospheric ambient, techno, and downtempo tones of the original and injects it with a driving beat and some evocative and expansive synth work.
The brainchild of acclaimed multi-platinum award winning mixing engineer Huub Reijnders, has already had a hugely successful career mixing for the likes of Oscar and the Wolf, The Subs, Jack Parow, Kraak & Smaak, Merol and many other renowned artists. Across the new EP Echoes Of Solace, Heijmat builds some fascinating cinematic soundscapes through lush analogue synths, subtle piano, tight electronic drums and elegant arpeggiators.
Emotional, experimental and cinematic, the EP is as comparable to Jon Hopkins as it is to the likes of Bonobo and even at times Olafur Arnolds. The new Remix takes this approach and gives it a fresh sense of energy and intensity, pulling it further towards an EDM-some-IDM feel.
Creating vibrant soundscapes of swelling analogue synths and mesmerising beats, Heijmat has already gained widespread acclaim for his music with press support from the likes of Earmilk, Notion, DMY and 1883, Heijmat has earned placements on prestigious playlists such as Brainfood, Electronic Rising and New Music Friday. This exposure has cultivated a dedicated and growing fanbase worldwide, drawn to the artist’s ability to push the boundaries of electronic music, constantly evolving and reinventing his sound with each release.
