Suffolk-based alternative-hardcore band FLEAS return with the intense and explosive new single ‘BLEED’. Taken from the upcoming debut album Imagine If There Was More, the track showcases more of the band’s intense, explosive and visceral blend of punk, rock and metal.

Having built a reputation for the raucous, energetic and resounding live shows, FLEAS have already established themselves as one to watch, sharing lineups with the likes of Dingus Khan, The Meffs, Skating Polly, Gaffa Tape Sandy and Pet Needs.

Produced by Suffolk based Alec Jarman, BLEED opens with a boxy, filtered riff that gradually builds, the urgent and angsty lead vocal enters and beckons in the explosive main riff. Pounding drums and heavily overdriven guitars bring tightly locked rhythms, as the metal inspired riffs pull the track forward with a punk energy.

The dark, intense feel of the music is echoed by the barked, visceral lead vocals which move between spoken word and screamo which brings a strikingly anthemic chorus and repeatable lyricism.

Speaking about the track, the band explains: “BLEED was actually the first track that we wrote for the album. Pedro and Jason wrote it in Pedro’s bedroom in the summer of 2023. The song was such a departure from our previous sound that it basically inspired the rest of the album. BLEED is definitely one of our favourites.”

Continuing to talk about the album as a whole, the band explain:
“The album ranges in topics, from mental health, to today’s social climate, and experiences with love and protecting those closest to us. It was recorded in a very DIY set up, mostly in bedrooms and rehearsal spaces, captured by the wildly talented Alec Jarman; he was instrumental in bringing our vision to life.”

Since forming in 2018, FLEAS have been building a reputation for their raw, high-energy performances and genre-defying sound. Having gained radio play across Total Rock, BBC Introducing and won awards (NMG Awards: Best Rock Act), the band have also gained a flurry of tastemaker coverage including New Noise, The Punk Site, Backseat Mafia, Iggy Magazine and A&R Factory.
