Fasina explains further the core meaning behind the album and its name stating, “Freshie by definition is an immigrant, non-belonger which essentially creates someone craving to be free within a society set up for selectiveness. This album is an escape blueprint, from the melodies down to the language it’s been carefully selected to include anyone who’s a fan of Rhythmic fusion blends.”
The latest single taken off the album ‘WAISTLINE’ ft Minz exemplifies Fasina’s sound. The track boasts a laidback beat layered with spacey synths that frame Fasina’s hypnotic vocal patterns perfectly. The addition of Minz to the track adds a further dynamic with the artist offering up smooth vocal harmonies that are awash throughout the track.
