Reese, how would you describe Can’t Deny to someone who hasn’t heard it yet?
I would describe Can’t Deny as a upbeat dance song with a casual island vibe.
Why did you choose to explore themes of love and self-confidence in this new track?
I write from my own personal experiences.
How did your experience in acting shape the storytelling aspect of this song?
The music video is more of a performance video, but I was able to convey my emotions with my eyes and body movements. I was able to act out my lyrics somewhat.
How do you feel your style as an artist has evolved since you started writing original music?
I feel like I have grown so much as an artist since I started writing original music. I always was a part of the process but to write the lyrics 100% on my own and then work on the production end has helped me immensely get to the next level or where I need to be.
What is it about music that allows you to express yourself differently than acting does?
In acting I get to play pretend. I get to dress up and be someone else that I sprinkle with bits of me into the character. In music, I am sharing myself with my fans and the world. It is deeply personal.
What’s next for you after Can’t Deny and your upcoming series with LOVE XO Studios?
I have been writing a lot over the last several months. I continue to train and hone my skills daily. I will be releasing 5 additional songs in 2025. I am excited to share them with you. For Love XO, I am thrilled to be a part of their new series they are launching. It is so fun, and I can’t wait for people to see it.
