Multi-instrumentalist and producer Casiocenz returns in 2026 with kas-ee-oh-chenz, an ambitious second full-length album that embraces experimentation and artistic freedom at every turn. Spanning 40 minutes and 33 seconds across 11 tracks, the record takes listeners on a genre-defying journey through psych rock, post punk, indie, electronic, new wave, goth, and other experimental soundscapes.
The album arrives as the follow-up to 2023’s Party of One, a debut release that introduced Casiocenz as a project with no interest in creative limitations. While that record laid the foundation with its blend of post punk, emo, indie, and folk influences, kas-ee-oh-chenz expands the palette even further, exploring richer textures and more adventurous production techniques while remaining emotionally engaging and song-driven.
What began in 2006 as a side project outside of the artist’s primary band has steadily evolved into a unified creative identity. Over the years, various musical ideas and side projects were consolidated under the Casiocenz name, creating a single platform dedicated to exploration and self-expression.
Each track on the album offers its own distinct personality. From the organically unfolding psych-rock opener “Mind Grapes” and the atmospheric interlude “Transmission” to the classic rock swagger of “Mr. Tax Man” and the playful hair-metal tribute “Hot Stuff,” the record constantly shifts direction while maintaining a cohesive artistic spirit.
Elsewhere, songs like “Luna_THE SNAKE OVERLORD,” “Who Will Save My Soul,” and “The Limit Does Not Exist” dive into psych-metal, minimalist post punk, and electronic experimentation. Tracks such as “Why Does It Happen,” “Human Person,” “When It Hits The Fan,” and the intimate closer “Annie” showcase Casiocenz’s gift for balancing emotional songwriting with fearless creativity.
Reflecting on the project, Casiocenz describes it as “a safe space to explore” that is free from rules, genres, and expectations. That philosophy runs throughout kas-ee-oh-chenz, making the album feel like an honest snapshot of an artist following inspiration wherever it leads.
