BSK Returns With New Ep “Butterfly”

Rising British rapper and visionary artist, BSK (real name Ben Sharp Knowles), is back with his highly anticipated  EP, “Butterfly” on out now all the streaming platforms. Despite only being in the music scene for three years, BSK has amassed a dedicated and loyal fanbase with a strong following peaking at 110k monthly listeners, from his highly successful debut album entitled ‘The Mind Of BSK’ with lead single ‘Right Groove’ hitting 91k streams on top of a highly streamed follow-up single ‘I’m In Space’ accumulating over 500k streams. Following up from his successful experimentation with Drum & Bass in his last album ‘BSK: A British MC’,  BSK goes back to his Hip-Hop roots, bursting onto the stage with a unique blend of contemporary beats and profound lyrics. BSK is ready to showcase his exceptional talent with his most intimate release to date.

The opening track, and namesake of the EP,  ‘Butterfly’ is about a past relationship originally written as a love song about his partner however before it could reach audiences, the relationship ended. BSK then reworked the song into a combination of how things started, with a collaboration between him  and his partner, which includes her snippets, to then evolving the angle to the end of the relationship. The track opens the floodgates to the raw, honest emotion layed out in the rest of the EP with an enchanting sound, city soundscapes and a upbeat drum-track. 

The follow-up track “Come Baby Come Here,” is a joyful celebration of love’s longing. It encapsulates the intensity of the emotions felt being in a long-distance relationship, yearning to be close to a cherished partner. BSK’s playful yet heartfelt lyrics convey a sense of anticipation, a desire to bridge the physical distance and revel in the embrace of love.  ‘Mamacita’ takes a turn in rhythm and style to a sensual and romantic tale of to the intimacy within a relationship.
