London-based producer, vocalist, and multidisciplinary artist Joshua Milú has released his new EP, Sucito: A Home, a deeply personal project that blends Alternative House and electronic music with honest storytelling and themes of identity, community, and self-discovery.
Released in September 2025, the EP marks the beginning of the Sucito series, an ongoing body of work exploring working-class life, queer identity, and the realities of navigating contemporary London. Through club-inspired production and introspective songwriting, Joshua uses the project to tell stories that are both deeply personal and widely relatable.
Following his debut album, We Deserve to Cry, Sucito: A Home sees Joshua diving even deeper into his experiences and artistic vision. Combining emotionally driven lyrics with energetic electronic production, the EP creates a space where vulnerability and dancefloor energy exist side by side.
At its heart, Sucito: A Home is an invitation to join Joshua on his journey toward self-acceptance as a queer, working-class person. The songs reflect the challenges of long working hours, financial struggles, and the search for belonging, while also celebrating nightlife as a place of freedom, connection, and personal growth.
The project draws heavily from Joshua’s early years in London in 2022, when he balanced university studies with cleaning jobs while learning more about himself and his place in the city. With limited time and resources, club culture became more than entertainment. It became a place of discovery.
“The club wasn’t just escape—it was education,” Joshua says. “It’s where I learned about London, about people, and about myself.”
The EP also pays tribute to the inclusive nightlife communities and grassroots organisers who work to make club spaces accessible to people from all backgrounds. These experiences helped shape Joshua’s understanding of community and belonging within electronic music culture.
A major theme running throughout the Sucito series is the reclaiming of working-class stories in modern music. Joshua believes these voices are often overlooked and wanted to create music that brings them back to the forefront.
Inspired by artists such as Kaytranada, Channel Tres, and The Blaze, Sucito: A Home combines infectious rhythms with thoughtful songwriting and global club influences. The three-track release includes “Mayhem,” “Oatmeal,” and the title track “A Home,” which features songwriting contributions from Roselyn Mugabe and engineering by bgtheengineer.
As the first chapter of an evolving series, Sucito: A Home presents dance music as both a refuge and a form of expression, bringing together personal experiences and shared moments on the dancefloor. With Sucito: Blue Collar Lovers Club set to arrive in late November, Joshua Milú is continuing to build a body of work that celebrates identity, resilience, and the communities that help shape who we become.
