Suffolk Alt-Pop up and comer Loome announces his debut album and releases the vibrant new single ‘MARS’. Displaying an effortlessly cool edge and earworm melodies, the track showcases yet more of Loome’s captivating pop songwriting and rich, impactful soundscapes offering an exciting taste of what to expect from the upcoming debut album.
Self recorded and self produced, ‘MARS’ is built around a pulsing synth and bass line, the track quickly introduces Loome’s elegant, silky smooth lead vocal. Introducing distorted, fuzzy glitches, the track grows to an infectious chorus as tight beats and distorted guitar lines infiltrate the synth led backdrop whilst the vocals soar into a striking earworm melody. Emotive, understated and yet subtly danceable the single is another vibrant, alternative yet nonetheless commercially viable addition to Loome’s growing catalogue.
Instantly recognisable as Loome, the track is a brilliant representation of Loome’s alt-pop sensibilities, leaning on a stylistic sound palette and songwriting style which the solo artist has made his own.
Talking about the single, Loome explains: “This song felt so natural to write & produce. It was one of those tracks that I didn’t intentionally sit-down to write, it just happened and when I looked up (notably happier) there it was. The lyrics are inspired by Greek mythology… I was watching the movie 300 the night before and it obviously seeped into my brain along with some recent relationship struggles. These are themed around how anger can change someone’s personality and how love can be felt at the most turbulent times. ”
LOOME is the solo project and pseudonym of Suffolk based multi-instrumentalist, producer and writer, Tomas Frankson. Having gained extensive Spotify Editorial playlist support (Peach, Alt-Pop, New Music Friday, Fresh Finds: Pop and Class of 2023 on Fresh Finds UK & IE), picked up award nominations as well as a whole host of UK radio plays and press support from the likes of Purple Melon, Earmilk, Clout, VA8, Popmuzik, 1883 Magazine, Backseat Mafia and BBC introducing and across the UK, the solo artist continues to solidifying his place as an exciting up and comer.
