Some songs make you dance. Others make you think. Bad Strategies somehow manages to do both at the same time.
From the opening groove, Tony Frissore locks you into a rhythm that feels warm, confident, and effortlessly cool. The drums and bass do not rush, they settle in, creating a pocket that carries the whole record with ease. Guitar and keys layer the track with subtle color, giving it that classic funk soul while keeping the sound fresh and modern.
Then comes the organ solo, and everything deepens. It is not there to impress. It is there to speak. In that moment, the song breathes, as if inviting you to pause and reflect on the weight behind the groove.
Lyrically, Tony avoids the easy route of naming names or chasing controversy. Instead, he focuses on the real cost of poor leadership, the way bad decisions at the top quietly spill into the lives of everyday people. It feels honest, grounded, and uncomfortably familiar.
What makes Bad Strategies impressive is its balance. It never sacrifices musical enjoyment for its message, and it never waters down its message for the sake of sounding good. It is smooth enough to move your body, yet thoughtful enough to stay in your head long after the final note fades.
This is funk with purpose, groove with meaning, and one of those rare tracks that proves great music does not just entertain, it connects.
