Marques Morel Unveils Heartfelt Single “Strong Love”: Americana storyteller Marques Morel has launched his latest single, “Strong Love,” a poignant ballad woven with steel-soaked melodies. The song narrates a timeless tale of enduring love between a couple who built a family, leaving a profound legacy embraced by their grandson.
Scheduled for release on June 28, “Strong Love” is the second preview from Morel’s upcoming album, ‘Tales and Tellings.’
Reflecting on the deeply personal nature of the track, Morel shares, “’Strong Love’ is my homage to my late grandparents, whose influence continues to guide me through life’s complexities. Their journey, marked by sacrifice and resilience, resonates universally. It’s a reminder that each of us is here because of someone’s unwavering devotion.”
Produced by Andrija Tokic (known for his work with Alabama Shakes and Ian Noe) and recorded at Nashville’s Bomb Shelter Studio, “Strong Love” features Morel on acoustic guitar and vocals, supported by a talented ensemble including Jack Lawrence on bass, Ellen Angelico on pedal steel, Bo Coleman on electric guitar, Charlie Garmendia on drums, and Matt Menold on piano and keys.
This release follows Morel’s acclaimed single “Gas Station Girls,” praised by Americana Highways for its nostalgic flair and honky tonk charm. With a vocal style reminiscent of Elvis Presley, Morel’s music captures the essence of classic Americana, blending storytelling with authentic musicality.
As anticipation builds for ‘Tales and Tellings,’ Marques Morel invites listeners to delve into “Strong Love” and embrace the enduring spirit of familial bonds that shape our lives.
