Emerging Lagos-based singer-songwriter and rapper FineFace is set to captivate listeners with his latest project, the EP Cold weather (The Ep), released on 30th January 2026. Blending soulful Afrobeat and Afro-fusion rhythms with R&B elements, this four-track collection marks a deeply personal milestone for the artist.
Drawing from emotions tied to a past relationship, FineFace channels memories of a time when an ex-partner walked away, viewing him as nobody. Tracks such as Onitemi, Love, you, and Lie serve as heartfelt messages, crafted with the hope that they reach her soon. The lyrics flowed effortlessly, rooted firmly in his heart, turning personal stories into resonant soundscapes. The entire recording process unfolded intimately in an apartment, involving just FineFace, his producer, and videographer. A companion music video is already available on his YouTube channel, with the link to be shared shortly.
Born in 2001 as Felix “FineFace” Aichi Uchenna Chisom, the artist has steadily built a compelling catalogue. His previous releases, including GBTTW, RTSS, OMO OLOGO, and OJU MI, showcase a signature fusion of African rhythms and melodic R&B. FineFace’s stage name was given to him by his mother, Iruoma. With Cold weather (The Ep) already generating buzz ahead of its drop, this project signals the arrival of an artist whose creative depth continues to surprise and connect with audiences.
