Faeser – Revelations: Brighton rockers Faeser announce their debut EP In The Box of Heaven Pictures and share the high octane new single ‘Revelations’.
The beating heart of Faeser lies in the band’s live performances, which deliver an unpredictable dynamic blend of aggressive highs, tender lows, and an energetic sense of punk energy – all presented in a freak-show glam getup. The new single ‘Revelations’ captures this live aesthetic perfectly.
Missed and mastered by Jag Jago (The Maccabees, Cassyette), the single blends elements of expressive punk with melodic alt-rock, weaving together bursts of high-octane energy with moments of ethereal calm, breaking its relentless drive with a dreamlike pre-chorus before erupting into an evocative, soaring chorus. The shifts between punk-fueled intensity and the propulsive force of alt-rock lend the song a purposeful sense of momentum, carried by its infectious melodies and dynamic arrangements.
Punching drums, biting distorted guitar tones, and a thick, resonant bassline ground the sound, while the emotive lead vocals rise above, imbuing the music with both urgency and vulnerability. Closing with a climactic shredding guitar solo, the track manages to be as intense and visceral as it is nuanced and musically varied.
Speaking about the track, the band explain:“Revelations is our biggest statement as a band yet and one of our favourite tracks to play. The recording has such a chaotic, live feel to it, which was important to us as we are, first and foremost, a live band.
It serves as a sort of introduction to this world of ‘grunge sleaze’ that we have created; it is as reflective as it is pornographic, and as faithful as it is tempting.
Revelations is a lighter note in the wider project (our debut EP In The Box of Heaven Pictures). It serves as a moment of pure fun and chaos in an otherwise melancholic story that centres heavily on loss.”

Fronted by powerhouse vocalist Jessica James, with lead guitarist Willow Simpson, rhythm guitarist Emia Demir, bassist Matthew Sherren and Drummer Nathan Hayward, who all reside in Brighton, Faeser have quickly built a reputation as one to watch, opening for the likes of Cassyette at Concorde 2 in Brighton and Dear Tash at The Social, London.Their first offering ‘No Such Thing’ has amassed a cult-like following with its Ari Aster-esque visuals and lyrics that read like an animal trapped in a cage.
Their highly anticipated sophomore single ‘Revelations’ is a high-energy emo/classic-rock fusion (think Led Zeppelin meets My Chemical Romance) that explores the conflict between shame and desire, repression and liberation. With an introductory monologue that depicts Jessica James as some kind of crazed preacher, ‘Revelations’ showcases the band’s love of theatrics and rock opera, with stadium-sized riffs that cannot be ignored.
